Writing a book! The topic: SYMBOLISM
The first section is about the psychology of symbols, aesthetics and WHY we love symbols. I share lots of personal stories and examples from folklore and archeology.
The second section is an encyclopedia of symbols. 
I have found so many crazy interesting symbols from around the world!
Have you ever heard of the "helm of awe"?
Warriors in Iceland would paint this circular design onto their foreheads before they went into battle. It was thought to protect them from harm.
I am very thankful for the Indiana Arts Commission for awarding me the On Ramp Grant to help with this project.
Stay tuned for the more juicy symbols and art philosophy as I swim through this material.
My desk is a bit messy but we will get through this! I'm currently at page 170.
